About Us:

The Unemployed Workers Help Centre is an independent, community based organization with offices in Regina and Saskatoon which provides information and advocacy services for Employment Insurance claimants.

The UWHC began operation Regina, February, 1995

A second office was opened in Saskatoon in 1997.

Funding is provided by grants from the Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan trade unions.
Services Overview:

- are open to everyone and anyone who has a question about the Employment Insurance Program

- no fees are charged for any service

- provide information on the Employment Insurance Program and eligibility

- advise you of your rights and obligations

- prepare and present appeals for Employment Insurance claimants

- mediate between claimants and EI representatives and agents

- referrals to the employment services of Can-Sask Career and Employment Services

- referrals to other social and government agencies which provide services to the unemployed

- provide public education workshops and seminars on EI issues, policies, procedures, etc.
